So uhm… that crack about needing to teach my class locally? Well… I just exchanged emails with someone…
Save the date folks. Thursday, August 5th I will be teaching Bondage Basics for The Society of Janus.
I think the class will be in the city. I don’t know what time yet. I’ll post more details when I know. Holy shit. Holy shit. Holy shit. Holy shit.
So much for teaching the class far away from anyone who knows me as a test run… If I do less than spectacularly there will be no disassociating myself! Ah crap. Guess I better do well. 🙂
If you do as well in SF as you did in your living room, you’re set.
Would you rather people you know not go? I might know someone who’d be interested in learning the ropes (not to use the stupidest pun imaginable or anything).
🙂 If I’m going to be local I am going to know people. I might as well try and stack the class with people I know and like. Seems prudent. 🙂
Does one need to be a Society member to take the class? (I am guessing not, since it is for beginners, but it was worth asking.)
I don’t believe so.
Well, actually, yes. Of the Society of Janus or a reciprocal organization (which includes Exiles, The 15, and now also smOdyssey).
If someone wants to attend, and you’re not a member of one of the above, you can either:
1) Go with a member of one of the above organizations as their guest, or
2) Email me (Angela di Tenebre) at programs@soj.org and we’ll talk about how to get you in.
I’m sooooooo looking forward to this.
Will I cry when I see the price tag on this class?
Most of the time classes are $15 for non-members.
Wow! That’s far less than I expected. Excellent.
You’ll be great!
You’ve got a neat journal. Mind if I add you?
Be my guest…er my friend.
You’ll be fine. I’ll be there if I can. If you’d like that, of course.
You’re gonna do well!
Hey, since everyone is talking you into doing classes… wanna do one in Davis? 🙂
You need to provide a hosting organization/location. I’ve already taught a class in Woodside… 😉
So, how basic is basic? I’m debating whether, if I probably already know much of what would get taught, it’d be worth paying for the class just to stack it with friendly faces for you. *g*
Hum. From the review, it sounds like there’d be some new-to-me material, so I’ll pencil it into my schedule.
(An Ikea couch cover? *glances at nice blue Ikea couch* Hmmmm…)
Really, it‘s more chair-sized. Or person-sized.
Dude. You are giving away my tricks before the class! Now what will I tell them at the class? *sob*
If it helps, I still can’t figure out exactly how I’d use that for bondage. Unless, like, you cut holes in it or something. Then you could obviously slide it over the chair, with the person under it. But then you’d have holes in your nice chair-cover. And that’d suck.
It’s pretty basic. I have no idea what you know though.
If I’ve recovered enough from surgery to be up and about, I’ll be there.
My sympathies. I can relate; I just
gotvolunteered to teach a bunch of psychotherapists about bdsm.the mutual fund company?
