EVILNESS

I have to go shopping for a *cringe* bathing suit. I currently technically own two, but they are both two sizes too big and that is… problematic.

I am NOT looking forward to this. Puppy wants me to go to some pool party that his group lead is throwing and it kind of necessitates a bathing suit. I haven’t gone in any sort of water where I needed a suit in a while… heh.

Is anyone interested/willing to go with me? I could go today, Sunday in the morning or in the late afternoon/evening (I have something in the middle of the day that will take up probably 3-4 hours), or pretty much anytime next week. I know it is an evil thing to do, but flashing his coworkers would be worse…

Although I can’t really schedule time to shop with you (too bad! I think that could be fun!), I might have a suit to loan you, if you don’t turn anything up. Most of my smaller suits are in pretty bad condition at this point, though, so I can’t guarantee anything. Best to leave this as a last resort.

and FYI, if you decide you want a suit, and you have the time, buying from Lands End online is often really great. They even have good sales sometimes. I love love LOVE their “tugless tank”–It really DOES stay put on your butt!

    Ugh. Bathing suit shopping.

I have time today, probably Sunday morning too (although I may be disappearing to San Diego with on Sunday too). Today’s probably better.

Believe it or not, I’ve always had really good luck with bathing suits at WalMart. I found a really cute one last year before we went to Mexico; black tankini thing with little panels of hawaiian print.

I bought one last weekend, and it was the most painless experience I’ve had in many years…
(good thing I got it before I balanced my checking account and paid bills, or I never would have done it.. and gone without) lol

Anyhow- yeah. Mix and match bottoms and tops are great! Somethign that fits my tits AND my ass at the same time… I’ve been self conscience about my belly for years and years, and it’s just getting a little old. This suit is the most flattering I have seen on my body in a long while, and I think I’m just going to have to deal with the idea that I have stretch marks and enjoy a suit I like!

So funny when I can walk around completely naked and feel pretty good about myself.

Your swim suit shopping will be way better then mine was! You won’t have an 11 year old being mouthy in the dressing room with you, and department store clerks standing outside giggling. 😉

I could rent her to you cheap if you feel like you’re missing out.

They have awesome suits – get a tankini or a suit that you can actually take to the gym and swim in … and the prices are usually pretty good. “Water Girl” is a brand to look for – also sold at Red Dot on 4th/Bryant.

I haven’t owned a bathing suit in over a decade. But if I had to buy a bathing suit, I would get one of those new ones with the little skirt built in. I think those are so cute when I see them in the catalogs.
