Not so evil plotting.

In response to the horoscope given to my cute boy… So, whatcha doin Friday night? Might I tempt you into coming on over to the Disaster House for some games? Not necessarily dirty games (although who knows what will happen late with our friends…)

Entirely without the permission of my husband let me now invite you to the Disaster House on Friday September 21 at 7 pm for games and potentially drinking and silliness. 🙂

(btw–this isn’t a big invite list so I hope ya’ll will make it!) Please respond if you want to come…

    1. Friday is September 22.

    2. I think an evening of party games sounds just delightful.

    3. There is some debate as to whether we could drive the truck, which I think is being resolved as “no.”

    4. I’m not going to be drinking, ’cause I’m hoping I shouldn’t be.

Maaaaaaaybe. If I do come it would be later than 7, though, so as to beat any southbound traffic.

I’m pretty sure I remember how to get there, it’s been a while…

You can also feel free to take bart and we will pick you up if you like. And try to show up before 9 cause we won’t run much later than maybe 11 cause I’m a big wuss.

I get up at 6 every day. And I don’t sleep in on the weekends so I have to sleep every night or I just get crankier and crankier.

That’s starting to happen to me. To me “sleeping in” nowadays mean staying in bed all the way until 7. Or if I’m feeling truly decadent – 7:30!! I used to be able to nightshift on the weekends and then dayshift again for Monday morning but I seem to have lost that ability. It means a lot less clubbing. *sigh*

Yeah, no, I wasn’t thinking anything later than like 8, 8:30 (which means leaving WC around 7, probably, although as I recall at high speed it’s about 40 minutes, tops, to the DH).

        We shall see!

We could carpool with you if you like….since we’re coming from the same neck of the woods. And we get carpool lane privileges no matter how many people are in the car ’cause of the Prius. 🙂

“That would actually make it so I mentally could not back out out of laziness/stupid trepidation!”

Likewise. Email me specifics of where to pick you up and we’ll work it out?

PS you could bring my tee shirt. (I like spelling it “tee” shirt instead of t-shirt because it sounds funnier in my head) Actually it’s kind of a Vee Tee shirt. Tee Vee shirt? ….wanders away giggling…..

          2. capnkjb

I’ll email you from home with the specifics (I can’t get to gmail on the work computer for unknown reasons). I will put the vee tee in an obvious place so I remember it.

      Re: Yes!

If you would like to bring game suggestions that would be awesome. I’m thinking about potentially making it like a pot-luck dinner. Hmmm. Cause if one person brings potatoes, and someone else brings salad, and someone else brings some dessert, and we buy some meat… hmmm

Games: Terpsichoros has a fun card game where the rules are changed by the cards people play. Or he could teach you his family’s cutthroat rummy game… if you want to encourage people to be mean to each other. Pictionary or Apples to Apples could be fun. That’s what’s on the top of my head.

Food: I’d be in favor of doing a potluck. Why make one person do all the work?

I got excited until I remembered you said Friday. We have tickets to see Cirque this Friday. Sad that we miss out on your socialness!

I will have to ask the boy but as far as I know we’re free. If he has some political thing going on I’ll just come by myself.

Boy has STILL not decided whether he is joining me. Silly boy. Well I am going to show up regardless. And he might or might not be with me!

    Quite possibly

Sounds like a good time to be had. There is still a chance that I’ll go to (Jewish New Year) services that evening, but I’ll bet partying afterwards would be way cool.

No can do, leaving from work to go to Sebastapol Celtic Festival. Maybe next time, though, I’d love to hang out with you more.

I would love to come; however, I have a cello lesson that conflicts with the early part of your shindig. Also, I don’t know where you live….

So, if you want to send me your address so I can find where you live, then I will try to come for the later part. I’d probably show up around 8-ish. My email address is the same username at gmail. Hopefull I’ll make it – it’s feels like a really long time since I’ve seen you.

    Pesky organizing question

Have you decided whether you want to do pot luck?

I’ve been to many successful parties that were BYO _food for the grill_ and a dish to share.

    That might work.

I might be able to make it, but can’t be sure. I’m being abducted for the day, and don’t yet have any idea when I’ll be able to escape. 😉 There’s a good chance I won’t be back in time. But I’ll try!
