ants.
my shoulder hurting so that it keeps me awake while Shanna nurses ALL NIGHT LONG. (normally I can sleep through it and it doesn’t matter. there seems to be a protest building.)
waiting an hour and a half to have breakfast with Noah while he sleeps in. I should have eaten as soon as I got up with Shanna.
knowing that people are still breathing who piss me off. (it’s that kind of day.)
my arms hurting.
my head hurting.
stupid piece of crap Wuthering Heights. what a terrible book.
have I mentioned the fucking ants?
my cat getting whiny and needy when Shanna cries.
a variety of people who have hit my shitlist for their stupidity and/or obnoxiousness.
I could go on but I doubt I am helping my mood.
I hated that book. (But I saw a movie version which at least let me see why other people might enjoy it.)
Also? Fucking ants.
On the plus side, I love the weather, and you have a lovely husband and a wonderful girl.
This guy I know who lives in the city and used to have Movie nights of classic movies, showed that… at the end I looked around at a room full of teary eyed new agers, and LOST IT. Started Ranting about how can they go on and on about dysfunctional relationships and emotional abuse, and then watch both of those in action and find it to be ROMANTIC????!!!!!
I mean TEACHING kids via this sort of “romantic lit” that just that sort of abusive behavior was “love” was part of the problem for WHY they get sucked into that sort of thing.
Please tell me you hate that book as much as I do, I just want to bitchslap the main characters
Yeah, the book sucks
But, hey, there’s a nice song about it.
I think it’s by Pat Benatar, or somebody very much like her.
Re: Yeah, the book sucks
Pat Benetar did a cover of it, but Kate Bush wrote it. She had, at that time, never read the book herself. (:
An uncomfortable number of ‘romantic’ movies would be either restraining orders or just unhealthy and disturbing if done in Real Life.
This is my opinion, but other people can have it if they want.
There are few books I hate, but that is one. I never knew anyone who liked it. I’m sure there must be some better example of the genre. If not, maybe the genre sucks.
so with you on that book
