Oh thank goodness. My cousin and her kids have other plans for Thanksgiving. We are only going to have 12 people. That’s way more manageable.

12 is about the maximum *I* enjoy entertaining. A couple of years ago I had a dinner party that accidentally ballooned to 25, and I wanted to find a dark hole to crawl into by dessert. People RSVPed no, then showed up anyway – so I had to find emergency ways to feed everyone. Thank goodness for frozen chicken stock, chicken chunks and veggies. . . instant soup. And baking powder biscuits to the rescue. . . but never, ever again!
