Costuming pieces

The wondrous noirem is abandoning these parts for a minimum of three years and as a result she has decided not to keep a lot of her dress up stuff. I currently have possession of stuff. There are a few Rennaissance pieces I intend to send towards the Pryankster crowd and some Dickens Fair garb as well as more standard dress up gowns. The size range is anywhere between 16 and 20ish if you corset well. The preference would be for these items to stay within friends because, as you all know, these clothes are expensive, time consuming, and a labor of love to create. If you think you might like some of the above, please contact me. (Be advised that a few of them need a small amount of work like sewing on buttons.)

I would be happy to make use of any of the Dickensian or dress up gowns, as I discovered from last time that she and I apparently have similar general measurements. And I’ve been wanting to go back to Gaskell’s but fretting about having nothing that fits to wear any more.

Handy! Because we uhhhh also have two pieces of mail I need to give you. One came last week and one came today. The one we got today looks at least somewhat serious. 🙂

Hmmm, okay. I can’t believe mail is *still* showing up there for me. Who the hell is sending this stuff? (rhetorical, I’ll find out when I get there)

        Also, I have a proposal for y’all.

What are you doing Saturday? We have a reason to be in Milpitas, which means I could have a reason to be in Fremont. (wink wink, nudge nudge)

I will be at IMsL for a large chunk of the day/evening. I don’t suppose you could come up on the early side?

Hrm. I need to think about that. The first half of the day was scheduled to be devoted to homework full-time, so it won’t match up with the Milpitas gig in the late afternoon.

Um, Friday late afternoon or evening? I’m not usually very productive Friday evenings anyway, as I’m often coming down from the week of “full steam ahead”.

That sounds like a plan, then! Should I call before I head over? My class gets out at 3:05pm, but I have a problem set due at 5pm and I don’t know for certain that it will be done sooner. (Should be, since I’m supposed to go over solutions tonight with my study group, but today’s schedule is totally fubared.)

Looks like the biggest dress (probably around a 20) is gone, but the rest of the stuff is here. I have a someone coming over this morning at 9 and she will probably hang out for a few hours. I have no plans this afternoon/evening. I will be home through all of early Saturday and head out late afternoonish. I could do Sunday evening. Then I leave for Arizona for a week and some. 🙂

Sorry I haven’t gotten back to you more promptly. My brain is kind of eaten.

Umm — I may well be interested. I used to teach juggling at the Northern Ren Faire and had a very pedestrian gown/ bodice I made. Blouse long gone.

What kind of money are we talking about? I loves me some costumes. Ren Faire, Dickens, anything. Plus with Dan in photography school I reckon there could be occasions coming up.
