Flying solo

So Noah is gone on jury duty. He was gone yesterday too. Instead of asking for people to come here I have made plans to leave the house. The morning yesterday was… awful. Oh man awful. I am now even more firmly of the opinion that I could have benefited from Noah being home for the full six weeks and that’s just not happening.

But life, she does not do what I want and I have to suck it up. No one’s dead yet and children are resilient so I guess things will work out.

It’s ironic that many men take time off after the birth of a first child but can’t manage for subsequent kids when it’s actually harder. C’est la vie. And, as you say, children are resilient. Good luck! If you feel adventurous, come on up here and S can say hi to Blue Guy and Green Guy!

That means you are back! I don’t know that it will happen this week (dental appointments, Noah getting a vascectomy, previous plans) but the week after I would really like to come up. S has been talking about how much she misses you nearly daily.

(Noah was home for the full six weeks last time.)
