I think your plan is a good one, it’s the sort of plan I make for myself, works for awhile and then falls apart as I get into projects.
The trick is probably to schedule big project work for set times.
My eventual goal is to handle maintenance tasks as part of connecting with Lina time–e.g. we wash dishes together, do laundry together–and work on big projects when she’s okay away from me.
But, thanks in large part to having only one kid, our home isn’t that cluttered and untidy, it’s the daily stuff that kicks my butt.
Like I’ll get 3 loads of dishes piled in the sink (one down!), and I’ll end up with 4 loads of laundry to put away. Meh.
Hmmm, that reminds me, I need to go wash dishes.
