Is your husband going with you?

If not, it is sometimes handy to have a notarized letter from him giving you permission to travel with your child and that you’re not kidnapping her or anything ridiculous like that. Even though you’re married and there’s no trouble or anything. Because it’s just a fucked up world we live in these days. Check with your airline and the consulate of the countries you’re visiting to see if this is necessary.

He is going with me. I was already aware of the notarized letter thing, but thanks for bringing it up anyway. It’s such a whack job requirement that I wouldn’t think of it in general.
