In the past few weeks the following fruits and vegetables have been eaten (by me) in my household:
potatoes
tomatoes
lettuce (of three or four varieties)
carrots
leeks
celery
cucumber
brussel sprouts
eggplant
corn
broccoli
green beans
avacado
spinach
strawberries
grapes
blackberries
blueberries
raspberries
pluots
watermelon
plums
and Noah says parsley counts.
Holy shit. I think that is more variety of fruits and veggies than I normally eat in a year. No really–I’m not a vegetable person. w00t!
I think I had broccoli last week….
…does salsa in burritos count?
If it does then I get onion credit too. 😀
Awesome! I don’t eat nearly enough veggies and fruits. I’m looking at trying a natural anti-inflammatory type diet. And, of course, it consists of lots of fruits and veggies. LOL.
What are pluots??
Pluots are what happens when you take a plum tree and graft apricot branches onto it (or perhaps the other way ’round — I forget which is which). They’re neat, and almost but not quite like a plum
Neat! I bet they’re tasty.
Yay vegetables. Oh, gosh, it’s Thursday evening, the farmers market is Saturday morning, and there are still vegetables in my refrigerator. I think I need to eat a limp parsley salad or something. With, uh, raspberries. Huh. I’m wondering why I bought some of the stuff that is in my vegetable drawer right now, and why we still have raspberries in the fridge five days after the farmers market.
Impressive! I’ve been doing fruit & yogurt smoothies for breakfast for weeks now (I get on food kicks especially with breakfast – it beats thinking first thing in the morning), and having more fruit in the last month than probably the previous year. Unfortunately, I have a lot of weird sensory issues about most vegetables.
