    Lunch by a pool

I am going to go with something nice. Yeah I know, how un-me.

Meeting up with you by the pool at the San Jose Ren Symposium last year. The weather was still crisp. Everything seemed vivid. You seemed actively interested in a number of things going on around you. Since I am used to you looking and acting jaded about most things, due to the nature of the events I usually see you at, this was a rather unusual state for me to see you in. It was a nice thing. The memory is rather vivid. I like seeing you relaxed and happy. Such a change from seeing you with your shields up and being defensive because you have to be.

I happen to think you are nice on a regular basis. It is a great deal of my motivation for talking to you.

      Am I really so jaded?

I don’t think you are actually that jaded. It seems that you use it as a way to keep too many undesirable sleeze balls from trying to do things they have no permission to do. Did that make any sense? If you think to the events I usually see you at I think that it will.

The glow on your face when you first started to “get it” when I was teaching you to dance, and the glow on your face after any good dance with me.

Oh – and particualrly last waltz at the recent FNW.

I’ll bring a set to the next DHP just to prove that I have them. I need to figure out a different outfit to wear though. Hmmm. Time is getting shorter…

And where were they, young lady?

(Yes, I *am* reading backwards today, why do you ask?)
