I was out of the house all day yesterday and came home kind of cranky. I’m not feeling stellar today either. I always feel icki the day after dental work for some reason even though this was pretty mild in terms of dental stuff. I will try to respond to comments tomorrow when I’m being less of a pill. I’m not mad at anyone or cranky with anything you are likely to figure out. 🙂
In other news: the implant process is completely done. I have a ‘tooth’ in that spot for the first time in 2.5 years. It’s kind of weird.
dental implant?
I didn’t know you were getting one of those. I have had one for several years now; it was an awkward process getting it in, but since then it’s been great. I hope and expect that you’ll be as happy with yours as I have been with mine. It’s way better than a bridge and WAY better than not having a tooth there!
Wow!
I’ve got one – my #8 tooth (right top incisor).
It was kind of a pain to get it done – about a year of work – but soooo worth it. I’d actually be happy replacing all of my teeth with implants if it weren’t so expensive.
At first it was a little emotionally difficult, I’d grown very attached to having a gap and looking like a pirate. I can send you pics if you’re interested.
Mine is #30, so a molar. It wasn’t terribly obvious to anyone that I had a gap there. 🙂 And jeezus-christ-on-a-pogo-stick it is expensive.
Pics would be awesome. 🙂
No dental implant story here… But dental work makes me grouchy too!
i’m just a filling and crown kinda guy.
(if mercury in silver fillings made you sick, i’d be way DEAD by now)
i know a guy who did the whole mouth implant thing because his original teeth were “too small.”
don’t know about some people…
Hi Krissy,
Tom is turning 40 in two weeks and we’re throwing a party at Julie’s house on the 27th. If you and Noah would like to come, send your email address to scarlettnk@gmail.com and I’ll add you to the Evite. Also, I expect the early evening portion will be kid-friendly (or at least, kid-friendly-enforceable). Sorry this is a comment, but I hope you’ll keep it screened — I couldn’t figure out another way to send a message.
Cheers,
Nicolle
