Friday update!

Hey ya’ll! If you don’t plan to come over tonight, ignore this post. 🙂

Show up at 7 please! And read below for more…

We plan to have chicken for grilling (and maybe a steak or two cause I like them) but we are not going to buy a lot because we don’t eat that much meat and I don’t want to end up with leftovers for forever. I’m also going to be buying some potatoes for baking. Mmmmm potatoes. We have juice and a small variety of sodas (mostly random 2 liter bottles of I don’t know what left from DHPs and my Pepsi Ones) and of course more alcohol than we know what to do with.

DO NOT BRING PAPER PLATES, NAPKINS, CUPS, OR PLASTIC UTENSILS UNDER PAIN OF DEATH. I swear to GOD. He has enough of this shit to last about three lifetimes. I don’t understand why they ended up with so much. Sometimes, Cosco is of the devil.

What we don’t have is: much in the way of salad stuff, other side dishes/grilling veggies, soda other than Pepsi One, or enough meat to feed absolutely everyone. (Or bread. Bread is always good.)

What would you like to bring? Looks like the RSVP count is ~12. Please don’t bring enough for 12 though. If you bring food, bring enough for like 6 cause if everyone brings a lot of food…. woof.

And games! Bring games. We have a fair number of Cheap Ass Games and cards, but not much else. We will have towels and I’m turning the hot tub on before I go to work today. 🙂

I’m excited!!!

Oh love, I wish wish wish I could come. Thank you so very much for inviting me, but I won’t even be off work by the time you start and the drive is a bit long to start at 9 pm.

    *hugs*

    Another time, perhaps?

    Yay!

    I’m looking forward to it.

I’ll bring green salad & ginger ale – could also bring pineapple juice – is that interesting to anyone?

Terps’s game (where the rules change on the fly as people play their cards) is called Fluxx – I’ll try to get him to bring it. All the games at my house are 1:1 like chess/checkers.

I had been planning to bring potato-egg salad and sangria… but it sounds like you have potato stuff already so now I dunno. The sangria is already made. The potatoes are not. If you think you have wayyy too much alcohol and I shouldn’t bring the sangria I won’t. I’ll just drink it all myself at home tomorrow 🙂 (Of course the last 3 times I brought sangria to parties I ended up drinking like 2/3 of the pitcher myself anyway. I reeeeally like my sangria. More than other people do apparently.)

    mmmm, hot tub.

If I have time and end up making it down there, I’ll try to swing by my place on my way and grab something game-like. I have a couple good card games, so I could try to bring one of them.

Might try to make something edible to bring as well.

I likely won’t make it down there ’til about 8 because of that traffic thing. I’ll try and bring something to share – maybe some organic spinach? (Maybe not.)

I’ll bring apples to apples, killer bunnies and a few other games.

I’ll bring a couple loaves of bread and some sausages or other meat-like product.

Sometimes, Cosco is of the devil.

I rarely have a time when Costco is the right place to buy stuff. I’ve been a household of 1 person + dog for several years.

As Terpsichoros and I get ready to merge households, I’m still not sure there’s really a case for the large packages Costco sells of most products. I don’t want to use up all my storage space on extra toilet paper/paper towels/big food packages. Then there’s the math – in a lot of cases, people are spending the same money (or more) per ounce, paper roll or other measuring unit when they buy the big packages at Costco.

I know – people dig shopping there. They like the food samples!

I really wish I could come but I wouldn’t be able to get down there til 10pm which is way way late. 🙁 Thanks a lot for including me.
