Christmas List start

Maybe Noah should bookmark this entry. 🙂

Clothes in size XL. ETSY sucks for linking to. I like gaiaconceptions shop. Her user id seems to be: 5381559

I’m torn between these boots: first one and these: second one I wouldn’t be upset about either. Size 9 US/7 UK

So I can proclaim loyalty: Geek love Size XL

If these motherfuckers ever get it back in stock I want to replace the shirt Spot gave me: Size medium I miss this shirt since it wore out. *sniff*

I am a big fan of Warm Vanilla Sugar and I will happily replenish stock. 🙂 See, I am a vanilla girl!

I would not be mad if I received a couple of good knives. It would be nice to find out what it is like to use knives that are actually sharp. I’ll be careful; I promise!

Go to: and look for hosiery I’ll wear it for you. 🙂

I haven’t read the last Kushiel book yet and I wanna.

A few other books from my wishlist.

I drool all over these socks. Pretty much all of them.

I’m not going to link to a specific place because they are all over the internet, but a textured shirt would be neato.

Movies: Bedknobs & Broomsticks, Davey Crockett, Ella Enchanted, The Gnomemobile, Lt. Robin Crusoe, Mary Poppins, Newsies, Pollyanna, Watcher in the Woods… it goes on.

Jammies in size 4.

Time to go for now. May be back later. 🙂

For Noah’s sake: pressies are weird. What makes me feel the most cheerful is having a present to open on Christmas Eve (jammies!), and two presents Christmas morning. And then there’s the stocking. Good stockings tend to contain a wide array of things: socks/underwear/a small book/movie/food of some kind/neat pens or pencils/small things that could have been presents/gift cards (like $5 for itunes)/bath products/random stuff good for travel/often a small stuffed animal sort of thing/something small that would be neat in the kitchen could be fun… the list of things that go well in a stocking is long. The main point of a stocking is to have a bunch of small things stuffed into it pretty tight so it feels like a never ending treasure trove. It’s a really awesome feeling.

Doing all of this isn’t cheap, but it doesn’t have to be that expensive either. My mom usually spends in the neighborhood of $100-$150/person for their stocking and presents. That will almost certainly be less than you spend, cause you are like that, but you don’t have to be super extravagant either. A gift bag with three or four pairs of really neato socks counts as a present.

I’m in trouble.

I don’t spend a lot of time shopping/browsing online. But I hang out in some places where people do. Today the kick was long skirts. So I’m saving the links here. I would like to just casually mention that I have a birthday coming up. 🙂

http://www.shukronline.com/womens-skirts.html I’m not into the corduroy, but I love the seriously flared ones.

Amazingly well written article.

terpsichoros posted an article about Noka chocolate yesterday and I finally finished reading it. It is fairly long, but completely worth the time and energy. I am seriously impressed by the work of the author.

As a side note: Davisites! Is anyone interested in trying some of this chocolate? It is made by 7 young girls in Davis and I am interested in trying some. They will hand deliver in Davis and I think that is great. Oh, and for folks outside of Davis–it’s worth looking at anyway.

Very cool poly t-shirt

A burner friend designed a poly/queer logo and I think it is simply beautiful. At the pressure of many of his circle he set up a cafe press shop and is selling stuff with it on them. I have already bought a t-shirt and I think it is really awesome so here ya’ll go with the link: http://www.cafepress.com/LetLoveHappen (I’m well aware that cafe press is rather sizest, but it is the best starting place he could come up with.)

Cause we need to let love happen.

Hey everyone!

Clicky on this link and pass it along. I am so about encouraging this kind of thing.

(The story is: this guy made a website and if he gets 5 million hits his girlfriend will participate in a threesome. I’m so into this idea. heh. The site is overall worksafe though there is a little video where they talk about it a bit. No indecent pictures or anything.)

a rare post that is political.

I actually read some news today and these links have made me very happy.

http://tinyurl.com/qfbc8 Takes you to: 13) CA: Court says Berkeley can charge Scouts rentSan Francisco Chronicle”The state Supreme Court, in a victory for gay-rights advocates, ruled unanimouslytoday that Berkeley could withdraw a rent subsidy to a Boy Scouts affiliate at thecity marina because of the scouts’ no-gays-allowed policy. Although the U.S. SupremeCourt ruled in 2000 that the Boy Scouts had a constitutional right to exclude gays,Berkeley is not required to provide funding to an organization that violates thecity’s antidiscrimination policy, the state justices said. Cities can requirerecipients of public money to ‘provide written, unambiguous assurances ofcompliances with a generally applicable nondiscrimination policy,’ Justice KathrynMickle Werdegar said in her opinion for the court. The case involved the Sea Scouts,a nonprofit organization that teaches sailing and maritime skills to teenagers. TheBoy Scouts affiliate used space at the Berkeley Marina without charge from the 1930suntil 1998, when the City Council eliminated rent subsidies at the marina fornonprofits that discriminated on the basis of sexual orientation, religion or various othercategories.” (03/09/06)

http://lonestartimes.com/2006/03/09/gun-control-reduces-violence/ For: Gun control reduces violence?Lone Star Timesby Jeremy Weidenhof”Our friends across the pond in England have enacted fairly strict gun controlmeasures in recent years in response to rising violent crime rates, and have anextensive network of cameras to keep a governmental eye on the populace. In fact, things are so peaceful in this now gun-free utopia that schoolchildren are sent toclass in body armor to protect against being stabbed.” (03/09/06)

Oh, and less political:
http://www.alternet.org/story/33299/ For: Is three wives a crowd?AlterNetby Kara Jesella”‘Can he have sex with both of them at the same time?’ That’s what my boyfriendasked midway through a screening of ‘Big Love,’ HBO’s new drama about a polygamistfamily (the first episode premieres this Sunday, March 17, after ‘The Sopranos’).I’m not sure whether patriarch Bill Henrickson (Bill Paxton) can havemultiple-partner rendezvous with his three wives, Barb (played by JeanneTripplehorn), Nicki (Chloe Sevigny), and Margene (Ginnifer Goodwin), but based onthe first episode, it looks like he doesn’t. Except for the fact that he sleeps witha different woman every night, Bill seems as vanilla as can be. Still, I don’t thinkmy boyfriend’s question was just wishful thinking. Polygamy is pretty confusing tomost monogamists.” (03/10/06)

http://www.csmonitor.com/2006/0309/p09s01-coop.html What’s so scary about feminism?Christian Science Monitorby Debra Bruno”The other day at work, some colleagues and I were discussing a chain restaurantknown for its scantily clad waitresses. I was taken aback for a moment. ‘They havethe best sports bar in my area,’ one person said. ‘I hear they have great Buffalowings,’ said another. It was a moment of disconnect. ‘But how can anyone go toplaces like that?’ I asked. ‘What about the objectification of women’s bodies?’ Thewhat of the who? My colleagues, many of them young enough to be my offspring, gaveme puzzled, bemused looks. ‘This is one of those feminist things, isn’t it?’ someoneasked. ‘Yes, I’m a feminist. Yes, I did consciousness raising,’ I said. ‘What’sconsciousness raising?’ It was my turn to be startled.” (03/09/06)

Babbling cause I’m bored.

http://marnanel.org/joule is a great website for those of you who don’t know about it yet. It tells you who has friended/unfriended you and when. I don’t keep super close track of who does what when but it is cool every now and then to look and find out that a guy I haven’t talked to in probably 6 or more years has friended me in the last week. 🙂

Last night a comment was made that I haven’t been as obsessed with sex in the last few weeks/entries something like that. I couldn’t tell if it was just an observation or a complaint. 😉

Dancing is so wonderful. Everytime I come dancing after any sort of break I remember why I love it so much and I wonder why I stop going at all… Last night involved some lovely flirting. It is always interesting to flirt when it isn’t likely to go anywhere. The entire vibe is different.
